The Archuleta County Broadband Services Management Office is managed by the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation. Funding for the office comes through the Broadband Services Management Fund, equally financed by the Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County. The fund provides money for capital expenditures on broadband projects, including grant match monies and expenditures like conduit and fiber. In addition, the fund covers legal costs for contracts and other legal matters as well as paying for contract positions for the Archuleta County Broadband Services Managers.
As the Archuleta County Broadband Services Communications Manager, Jason coordinates stakeholder engagement, manages public communications, acts as the liaison for the Archuleta County Broadband Services Management Office and helps manage projects from conception to implementation. Jason located to Pagosa Springs in 2008 and brings a deep set of connections with community stakeholders, especially in the public government and utility spaces as well as economic development.
Eric serves as the Archuleta County Broadband Services Technical Manager and focuses his expertise on the engineering and technical aspects of broadband and network projects coordinated by the Archuleta County Broadband Services Management Office. The local firm Eric owns, Echo IT Consulting, provides technology and network support for many anchor institutions in Archuleta County, including the Town of Pagosa Springs, Archuleta County, Archuleta School District #50 JT and the Pagosa Springs Medical Center.
